Get an estimate of the typical shipment duration when shipping from Canada to the US with Gallopline:

  • 500mi./800km: Around 1-2 days
  • Over 500mi./800km up to 1500mi./2400km: Approximately 3-4 days
  • Over 1500mi./2400km: About 5-6 days

While we strive for accuracy in these transit times, please note that they are estimates and do not account for potential delays such as inclement weather, border queues, or additional customs inspections.

Our track record shows that we meet these estimates for the majority of our clients, giving you the assurance that Gallopline can efficiently handle your time-sensitive shipments.

Gallopline’s Standard Liability Insurance Coverage is limited to $2.00/lb based on the weight of the missing or damaged product; included in your base freight rate.

In some cases this will not adequately cover the cost of your goods. We would encourage you to check with your own insurance provider as many business policies will cover goods in transit.

To facilitate a smooth customs clearance process for your shipment, it is crucial to ensure accurate and complete documentation. Inadequate information can lead to delays. Here are the key documents required:

  1. Complete Bill of Lading
  2. Proforma Invoice
  3. Certification of Origin (CUSMA):
  • Under the Canada-United States-Mexico Agreement (CUSMA), there is no official certificate of origin. Instead, a “certification of origin” is required.
  • The certification should include the following nine minimum data elements as outlined in CUSMA Annex 5-A: Importer, Exporter, or Producer Certification of Origin; Certifier; Exporter; Producer; Importer; Description and HS Classification of the Good; Origin Criteria; Blanket Period (if applicable); Authorized Signature and Date.
  • Any format is acceptable, provided it includes these essential elements
